We’re very proud to announce the release of Veqtor’s Retrospective EP, by The Centrifuge, home of prestigious drill n’ bass artists Neutek, Gasman, Mark Swift, Gareth Clarke and many more!
“An action packed bumper 8-track EP from Sweden’s Veqtor, curator of the OXO-Unlimited netlabel and all round hardware/software demon. The release twists and turns between melodic junglism, max/msp-fuelled glitch explorations and a dirty, dub techno vibe.”
Hi, Veqtor here… I know it’s been quiet here for some time, I’ve been mainly posting stuff on my blog lately, Veqtor’s Corner. So what’s going on? Well, there’s another Analogik on the way and I’ve been collecting parts for my modular synthesizer, so far I have a Doepfer A-143-1, A-106-1 , Livewire AFG and on it’s way via UPS is a Tiptop Audio Z3000 and a Makenoise Moddemod!
Meanwhile I’ve been working on another iteration of the bitfreak ensemble for reaktor. It’s far more CPU efficient, and it doesn’t run into settings which doesn’t produce any sound. And that’s just the beginning.
I’m unsure as to if I should release it, or if I should wait until I have a Max4Live device ready.
As for OXO-Unlimited, we’re going to focus only on free releases in the future, at least for a couple of years or so, since I and nitro2k01 are both studying we simply can’t fund any physical releases for now.
And now, for some bad news, due to several differences in opinion, Mathtiiaas Rosén has left this label, it’s unfortunate that I couldn’t provide a platform for his releases which suited his requirements, but hey, that’s how it is. Our other, currently paid releases will actually become free, some artists on the OXO:001 album has asked not for their tracks to be released for free so those will not be available.
PS. We’re looking for hosting for our free releases, since our service provider is quite annoying when it comes to hosting files being downloaded regularly.
And here’s a little preview from my next full-lenght album:
This is a micro-EP consisting of 4 minutes and a total of 4 micro-tracks filled with Gameboy noise mayhem. The raw, dirty sound is a result of a challenge to make a song where the melodic elements may only consist of short pulses. The result is something that’s effectively a hard synced lead.

Then check out Veqtor’s Corner which features news, sneak peeks, reviews
(IDM, Breakcore, Electronica) and more!
We’ve managed to put together a whole OXO-Unlimited showcase consisting of Awt, nitro2k01 and Veqtor for this year’s Norberg festival!
Babyshaker will be playing too, but had already been snatched to represent the Oslo Break Fest Crew. Oerfil will be throwing down some massive acid business with our common friend, Marcus Ihlar as Ph1 AxXxid Crew and lots more!
I highly recommend this festival for anyone living in europe who is still thinking about what to do between the 24th and 27th of July.
We’re of course not the only great artists who’ll be playing there, Skream, Bong-Ra, Ars Dada & the OBF crew, Mats Lindström, Mattias Petersson, Psilodump and Zabutom are just some of the other excellent artists who’ll be entertaining you this year! DON’T MISS IT!!!
A little over six months after Analogik1, here’s the second part of the series. Analogik is a concept of creating sounds and music with analogue modular synthesizers, recorded live.
Analogik2 was recorded at EMS Stockholm using a STS/Serge and Buchla Series 200 modular in conjunction with a dual spring tank reverb. All tracks written & performed by Görand Sandström and Didrik Madheden, except track 4 which was performed by Göran Sandström only.
This release made our web host freak out a bit because it used too much traffic, so for now we’re only able to offer a bittorrent download. Stay tuned.
Having some time off from school-work has finally let me start working on something I’ve been eager to try out for some time: Building a NES/Atari2600 style noise channel emulation.
Having done some research I found the NES uses Linear Feedback Shift Registers.
I immediatly set out to prototyping one in Reaktor, after 6 hours of intense core-cell coding and swearing, I got a working prototype.
I ended up expanding upon the original idea, by performing a XOR-operation of selectable bits. Next I’m going to add more bits, for a total of 24, and also the possibility of performing a second XOR operation, or perhaps, being able to do AND, OR and NOT as well. We’ll see.
What I want to do now is transfer the code to C++ or Assembler so I can run it on a pic-chip, the ultimate goal being to make it into a eurorack-module, with CV-controlled parameters and pitch!
Here’s six minutes of shift-register glory:
