Yes, ironically enough Veqtor is playing at Ministry of Sound on the 20th of august.
Wikipedia: “Ministry of Sound (MoS) is a nightclub in Elephant and Castle, Southwark, South London. Officially opened in 1992 after weeks of ’secret’ club nights, the Ministry had already been packed out through word-of-mouth. Ministry of Sound was one of the key locations in the development of house music and superclubs in Britain in the early 1990s“
Veqtor @ Strandstamp 2, June 22 2007 (Midsummer’s eve)
This time Veqtor played for a less open-minded audience of ravers, so he tried a different approach than usual. It’s a combination of a dj set and a live set, with live remixing in his custom Ableton/Reaktor setup. The result was a really great set!
Tracks in the video:
Noisia & Mayhem - Moonway Renegade
Prodigy - Voodoo People (Pendulum Remix)
Desimal - Sun Destoyer
Noisia, Mayhem and KRS-ONE - Exodus
Veqtor - (Yet to be officially released and named)
On the ninth of june there are two OXO-Unlimited related events taking place, one in Stockholm (Sweden) and one in Oslo (Norway). In Stockholm there is the examinus day-party which begins with Mandark (Ultraform) playing acid techno and old school goa-trance with his mate, Mike Oxus. Then I (Veqtor) will play a maaad live breakcore set and after that Ultraform (Mandark) will play some of his hardstyle trance and to finish things off Mandark (Ultraform) and Veqtor will throw a really dark and menacing drum n’ bass / techstep / idm mix set. The equipment on this party will be 2 turntables, a mixer and a laptop. And speakers of course ^__^ If we get a projector then we might throw visuals. Send a mail for directions.
UPDATE
Someone filmed a small portion of Mathtiiaas Rosén’s live performance:
The Oslo event, Oslo Break Fest, is arranged by a Norwegian friend of ours, Ars Dada. Alongside legendary Breakcore acts such as Fanny and Xanopticon plays OXO’s own kickass breakcore scientist Babyshaker! If you’re in oslo you can’t miss this!!!
So, anyways, we hope you can catch one or two of us at any of these events, if not, you’ll just have to wait until we get a gig where you live. Remeber if you like our stuff, then promoting it a bit won’t hurt… and that might get us a booked where you live!
Babylon Disco has unfortunatly cancelled his gig due to personal reasons, but Fredrik Mathtiiaas Rosén has said he will cover for him so we’ll throw the breakbeat night tomorrow anyway! We’ll be selling all of tumul’s records, including Babylon Disco’s Natsukashii!
