We’ve managed to put together a whole OXO-Unlimited showcase consisting of Awt, nitro2k01 and Veqtor for this year’s Norberg festival!

Babyshaker will be playing too, but had already been snatched to represent the Oslo Break Fest Crew. Oerfil will be throwing down some massive acid business with our common friend, Marcus Ihlar as Ph1 AxXxid Crew and lots more!

I highly recommend this festival for anyone living in europe who is still thinking about what to do between the 24th and 27th of July.

We’re of course not the only great artists who’ll be playing there, Skream, Bong-Ra, Ars Dada & the OBF crew, Mats Lindström, Mattias Petersson, Psilodump and Zabutom are just some of the other excellent artists who’ll be entertaining you this year!

Veqtor & 2tronik01 - Analogik2 [OXOMP3002]

A little over six months after Analogik1, here’s the second part of the series. Analogik is a concept of creating sounds and music with analogue modular synthesizers, recorded live.
Analogik2 was recorded at EMS Stockholm using a STS/Serge and Buchla Series 200 modular in conjunction with a dual spring tank reverb. All tracks written & performed by Görand Sandström and Didrik Madheden, except track 4 which was performed by Göran Sandström only.

Building a NES/2600 Noise Generator

Having some time off from school-work has finally let me start working on something I’ve been eager to try out for some time: Building a NES/Atari2600 style noise channel emulation.
Having done some research I found the NES uses Linear Feedback Shift Registers.

I immediatly set out to prototyping one in Reaktor, after 6 hours of intense core-cell coding and swearing, I got a working prototype.

I ended up expanding upon the original idea, by performing a XOR-operation of selectable bits. Next I’m going to add more bits, for a total of 24, and also the possibility of performing a second XOR operation, or perhaps, being able to do AND, OR and NOT as well. We’ll see.

What I want to do now is transfer the code to C++ or Assembler so I can run it on a pic-chip, the ultimate goal being to make it into a eurorack-module, with CV-controlled parameters and pitch!

We’re very proud to present the first release on OXO-Unlimited from artist Yellow Then Blue.
This release is also the first in which we’re using a new payment scheme. You as a consumer pays directly to the artist, recieves a download link and the payment goes straight to the artist. This way all we do is represent the artist and help promote the release, something that is entirely in the spirit of what we’re trying to acheive at OXO-Unlimited.
